Hailing from West London Gavva's musical journey began in his early teens playing his dad's Motown vinyl collection. His soulful taste in music was always going to mean that it would lead him towards house. In the early 90s his nights out was at Flying events. The likes of Andrew Weatherall, Terry Farley and Rocky & Deisel were regular DJs and became idols of his. Gavva and his DJ partner, Biggsy, started their own event on a Friday night at The Villa bar ,Uxbridge (Zest). Gavva played at Menace (Paddington) and then the pair had a Sunday evening event at the Firs Hotel (Slough).Gavva's DJ escapades took him to Gran Canaria, and to Falaraki and Lindos on the Greek island of Rhodes. He also played at Gas, Limelight and had Saturday morning radio shows on Vision FM in early 2000. Taking a break from DJing for family matters Gavva has made a comback with internet radio shows where he plays club classics, club anthems, old school, also house and tech genres.
